Project: Water Resources Studies of 1001 Cities Theme Park
Client: Ezam Construction Investment Company
Background: Ezam Investment Company planned the largest theme park in Iran, in western Tehran, incorporating recreational facilities, hotels (three- to five-star), shopping malls, and theaters. MEWE was tasked with conducting water resource studies for the project.
Actions: Comprehensive field and desk studies were carried out, covering meteorology, hydrology, soil erosion, and groundwater conditions. Consultations were held with municipal and local water/wastewater authorities. Given the site’s location in a rapidly growing area, environmental considerations were a priority.
Results: Three main water supply options—or their combination—were proposed: allocation from a nearby seasonal river, extraction from groundwater wells in neighboring districts, and/or connection to the municipal network. Initial agreements were arranged with relevant authorities.
