Background |
Hormozgan Cement factory, located along the Persian Gulf coastlines, decided to add new water resource to its existing resources. It had awarded the design of a 4000 m3/day SWRO desalination plant to Marine System Technologists Ltd. The design review of the Basic and Detailed Design Documents was awarded to MEWE. |

Results |
Regarding the rather high cost of intake pipes from -10 m depth to the intake basin and considering the geological configuration of the shoreline, emphasis was put on further complimentary investigations on the possibility of taking the seawater through potential beach wells in the region. |
